Mutants are dangerous Lady. Mutants are dangerous beings with powers that many of them either can't control or want to hurt others. Sure there's only one Phoenix but how many more will come into existence how many more monsters will there be. Mutants are a threat. so they must be dealt with.

Starting to get real tired of trying to explain to his defenders how Fox's Magneto preaches right wing ideals, NOT leftism. He believes mutants are genetically superior to humans and therefore have more value. He believes humans should be treated as lesser than them and he will turn on his own kind for trying to reach peaceful negotiation. He even abandons Mystique when she is turned into a human because that's all he sees, mutant or human. Mutants vs Humans is not representing a political party or economic class issue. It is a race war. It's about how people are born. Magneto wishes to effectively wipe out an entire race instead of seeking equality. No matter what people of that race did to him, that is never okay. Fox's. Magneto. Is. A. Bigot.

Ian McKellen didn’t actually want to do the X-Men movies, it wasn’t until the director spoke to him and made him see how the mutants could be an allegory for LGBT+ that he ultimately decided to do the movie.

I think people tend to forget that Magneto and Professor X is not based on some good versus evil allegory, it's based on Malcolm X and MLK Jr. they're both fighting for the same thing, they're just doing it from two different perspectives and two different trajectories.
