I respect ur opinion bro but lemme put it to you this way, I’m in Spain Portugal and France all paid with points through Amex. I had to spend 8k and got 250k points there for I was already gonna spend 8k, my monthly expenses exceed 15k a month, this card is only worth for high spenders. Card is targeted for a specific audience

I rarely use Amex lounge even though we spent $$$$$/month on our platinum Amex. We don’t like hoity toity people lol. Unless American Airlines or United aren’t available (and that’s very rare).

lol even before lounge access, mine nets me positive value. Before the card, I used to drop $50 easy at the airport on food, snacks, drinks on just a single leg… nvm round trip or after marriage. Card is an easy win for me thankfully.

Ok I got the bonus. 175k so that’s a $1700 gift card at The Home Depot where I shop monthly and spend more than that anyway. So that covers 2.5 years of membership. My global entry cost $120 since I travel domestically and internationally 2/3xs a month. My $200 savings for my airline credit. I can keep going but you see. If you think it’s not a value then you’re using it wrong or you don’t really need it. Yes based on my spend and my reward usage. It would actually cost me not to have it.

this is an over exaggeration, many flaws in this logic. yes, most people aren't making the most out of their benefits, but those groups never claim to beat the system, the churners however, may actually earn more from the banks than banks earn from them. only a few selective churners would keep plat for the long run after they done the math, which they still, rarely claim they beat the system. ur whole argument is built based off of assumption and not evidence to prove
