crate training is always paramount for any puppy because it's a life need. if ypu ever have an emergency and need to crate them at a storm shelter with you, crates are needed. it's not just for potty training.

I bell trained mine. I picked him up at 8 weeks. By 16 weeks, he was fully trained. Pros: he will NOT go in the house. Con: he will make me take him out…what hurricane 😫😫

Learn basic commands and name recall. Get spray for accidents because they will happen. Diapers too.

not versed in golden doodles, but I am well versed in puppy. (dog breeder) get a large litter box i like the bottom of a guinea pig cage, get bedding pellets from farm store and use as litter. put pup in it, and anytime they poo pick it up and put it in the box. praise going in with treats and cheering g and love. then take outside on a routine. eventually accidents will stop, emergencies in box and potty outside. when they stop using box and only go outside remove the box. make sure to place near door you take them out of to potty if possible. or place inside puppy pen with toys and bed. pick up accidents outside of box quickly and always replace any pads used on floor but DO NOT use disposable pads ever, only reusable washable in pen if you go that route
