Medicaid is not a lifestyle. It was there to help for a while, not to stay on it.

actually most people dont pay for therapy. most people cant afford therapy so they suffer instead. My kids are on medicaid and work insurance and without medicaid we wouldn't be able to afford the several surgeries a year our daughter needs. Things are not always as black and white as they seem and it is easy to throw words around when you don't know everything.

I was a single mom for 3 years while I was in college. We had Medicaid until I graduated college and found a good paying job with insurance. It IS costly- but Medicaid should do just that. Help those that need help TEMPORARILY.

Don’t get me wrong, I was a teen mom and used Medicaid for some time to get through college. Graduated and immediately got my ish together. It should be a stepping stone, not a lifestyle.

Medicaid should not be used as a lifestyle. It’s meant to be temporary!!

I was on medicaid, food stamps and lived in housing while I was a single mom in nursing school, now we're off government assistance.
That's why it's called assistance, it's to help you on a time of need, not to live off forever.

this is why as a British, I am thankful for the NHS.... we pay in to it so we don't have expensive medical bills.... yes sometimes the wait lists are long, I've just waited 6 months to be seen by neuro after I collapsed and had a seizure on new years day and I'm currently on a wait list for a procedure but I'm grateful I don't have to pay for it. I have a friend with a few medical conditions and is always in and out of hospital and the GP, that would cost her a lot. my dad had a brain tumour and had two surgeries as well as many chemo and radiotherapy appointments that would have cost us a fortune.... universal health care is life saving or helps extend lives..... America is completely the opposite of the land of the free.

1) Not all jobs offer insurance. 2) I would rather help support families, birth control and services that allow them stability than having to help support more children or worse- children ending up in the foster care system(50K/ year+ per child) because not all families don’t have resources they need.
