my Labrador was having zoomies one day and decided it would be a good idea to run up and then back down the stairs. On his way down the stairs he slipped and tore his cruciate ligament in his knees and he had to have surgery that hasn’t really helped and now he is forever going to have bad back legs. It’s so scary how quickly something major can happen, and sometimes there’s absolutely nothing you can do to prevent it. Especially when they’re in their zoomies. He however is a very happy doggy and will hopefully still live a long life he just can’t go on long walks or go upstairs anymore.

My dog the other evening, in 1 sec jumped on the table,tried to steal an empty glass, broke it when I tried to make her leave it and cut her leg. There was A LOT of blood. The vet " nah it's a very little cut, it doesn't need stitches. If she broke the nerve she would lame permanently, but you were lucky" 💀

My Doberman puppy was having his zoomies and was chasing me. I was running and made a turn which he couldn’t do. He slipped on the concrete. He hurt his back and all 4 of his legs but luckily nothing happened. It is crazy how fast things happen.

It happens with hyper active breeds, you can do your best and they can still find a way, all you can do is learn from it, I was playing fetch my lab, he dropped his ball on cement steps and as the ball started rolling back down the steps he snatched it and bit the step at the same time, cracked two teeth and had to get them removed, I felt awful but we learned and I don’t let him play around potential hazards like that anymore

You're trying to claim you aren't over working your dog but you are! Coming from someone who has working dogs it's too much. Also labs come in 3 colours! So perhaps take it easy and protect those joints

This happened to our pup he was playing with our older lab in the garden then both came racing in and he ran into sofa (forgot he needed to jump) he was fine 20 mins later x

my lab did this independently the garden one minute running zoomies playing fetch next minute back leg limp because he decided to skid but it went a little wrong and hurt himself! no fault of mine like its no fault of yours they just get a little too excited sometimes and hurt themselves as we do as humans 😂 your doggy is the image of mine 😂

JUST A REMINDER EVERYONE MY DOG IS 14 on Tuesday & she’s been to the vets twice in her life & one of those was the have her spayed! She’s never had the yearly injections has never been ill constantly plays and dives off things swims in the lakes and rivers in our area I bath her with my shampoo or even washing up liquid she’s healthy and happy to this day!! they are ANIMALS as long as you love them & don’t hurt them your doing right by them!! STOP SCARING PEOPLE!!!!!

Currently dealing with *scared of hardwood floors* even though he’s been on the since day 1 of me getting him… he’s getting better but very scared to walk on them for some reason. 1 second he loved them the next he won’t walk without carpet on them
