When I was working brunch, the previous cook kept dropping the frittata when flipping it so when I started training the kitchen would sing "don't drop that fri-ta-ta" (like thunthun ) as encouragement. It worked. Your boss' strategy probably worked better ngl

I worked a Friday night clopen into a Saturday all day f my a situation, then another clopen into Sunday brunch. I got p okay at it. I’m on combo grill (pancake) and fry station. A bus pulls up. Out comes a bus of Asian tourists (they’re here to see the ivy schools), I get dozens of pancakes orders. I put up a good fight but ultimately lost the battle. I was devastated, broken. After brunch, my chef came over, put his hand on my shoulder. “It was a brutal battle today. Many lives were lost. You were ambushed by Asian attack. You will live to see another battle.” I then worked Sunday night service as a zombie until 1AM and drank until everything closed. I miss those days.
