There were 4600 employees at the NWS in 2012. 5600 when Trump took office and 4900 when this happened. Its not Trump's fault, its a culture problem at the NWS and so many other government agencies. "Let them feel the pain so we can get more money" is used alot by these corrupt employees. A manager should have made sure that role was covered which is still a failure by government employees, not politics.
