my grandfather was born in 1912, he suffered years of earning infections.. his parents BOILED MOLASSES & poured it in his ear 🤯 he said he never had another ear ache.. I said 'I BET YOU DIDNT GRAMPY" & he said "WHAT?!"

My gran lost her baby daughter with an ear infection which went into her brain at 18 months old in 1943. We are so lucky to be living when we do.

My great grandmother born late 1800s, would talk about people from before antibiotics. She said, he died of toothache or he died of earache. They died from infection that couldn’t be treated.

I got ear infections all the time as a very young kid, I never had antibiotics, I just slept it off or ignored it as much as possible. You can die from it!?!?

I’m 37 and had a mastoid operation. But it’s because of having so so many ear infections, each treated with antibiotics, that it spread. No hole. I was cut open.
