Sometimes they build from scratch when a tool already exists. That’s not failure. That’s a signal: you didn’t do the prep work. Before coding, ask: What exactly am I building? Does a tool already exist that solves part of this? What context does the AI need to give me the right output? If you skip this and jump straight to “build it for me,” expect random results. The truth is, AI can turn months of work into hours. But only if you’re willing to trade 3 seconds of wishful thinking for 3 hours of strategic setup. Research is the multiplier. Most people don’t do it. That’s why most people don’t get results.
