😔 this is so heartbreaking. Trying to survive while they try to desensitize you when they leave your loved ones lying on the dirt like nothing. All kinds of torture and evil. Psychological warfare.

I used to sit and stare at my grandparents & wonder what they were thinking u could see the horror & sadness in their eyes it’s a look I notice most survivors have its a reality they will never escape it’s gut wrenching.

please tell her thank you for being open and sharing! Did she ever write a book? I don't mean this in an insensitive way. I just love reading books about people an their life even more so regauding the holocaust. I'm reading the brothers of aushwitz right now.

my mom and I just went to the holocaust museum in Michigan very educational. They have ways to go in for free not very reasonable. I would go more just to learn more. I almost mentioned you and your grandma. They even have survivors speak on Sundays.
