I just call myself green. Olive gets so misconstrued; it means there is enough blue + yellow in one’s skin to create a green undertone (which can be cool or warm). Of course you know all that, but sharing for the class🤓 for me being cooler olive everyyything looks orange

Also cool can be pink or blue and every cool complexion product is pink. I have a strong blue undertone (cool olive) and glow blue in natural lighting.

Yeah, I’m a neutral that looks good in bright blue so I thought it meant I’m cool toned but for me, there is a line of going too cool toned. It makes me look so grey.

I’m neutral to cool, but recently suspected I have olive overtone. Everything person I see talking about olive skin though is not as fair with light eyes and hair. And so their recommendations never work for me. Mostly the problem is with blushes and eyeshadows. Nothing looks cohesive with my skin. The struggle is real.

Can skin tone change over time / with age? I swear I leaned more cool-toned a few years ago but now my skin seems to be warmer-toned. Could hyperpigmentation with age make a difference?

You would not believe how long it took me to realize that I had cool olive skin. All of the endless trial and error and all of the money thrown down the drain because things kept on looking not quite right. Plus it didn’t help that growing up I was told I was neutral. Lo and behold 11 years later I found my true undertone. It was quite frustrating, and still is because brands have a minimal selection for us cool olive girlies.

I’ll never understand it. My skin gets golden when tan but only neutral foundations work, anything else looks too yellow or pink. A true neutral taupe is my best brow color. Anything with multiple colors (eyeshadow) that has even a hint of green pulls electric green on my lids and my eyes are very bright blue. I have no idea where I stand.

Oh yeah- I’m a cool tone with the olive skin. So many cool tone products still pull so orange on my face. The weirdest colors work for me, and no one has ever correctly matched a foundation. I found makeup by Mario 7c works perfectly for me!! Love your series, found so many good products from you❤️❤️
