That order, signed by Obama in 2015, required federally funded infrastructure projects to account for flood risks, using updated science. So actually, yes you can blame him. By revoking EO 13690, levees, dams, roads, and even hospitals built or rebuilt with federal funds weren’t required to plan for this kind of extreme weather Even if the dam in question was old, removing future-proofing requirements actively blocked upgrades and left communities more exposed. It wasn’t just inaction—it was deliberate deregulation. That’s not local mismanagement—that’s federal neglect.

I love how people act like somehow trump just magically controlled the weather and caused this. Who was responsible for Katrina? Who was responsible when levees broke in Kentucky and flooded communities? Who was responsible during other floods similar to this that have happened in the past? Was the current administration allways to blame? Or has it allways been collective negligence over the course of time that should have been addressed by multiple different people before it ever reached that point? You really have people saying these girls deserves this. You have people glad they died because they were white. Glad they died just over the assumption of their political affiliation. Are we not human anymore? Who rejoices over the death of children???
