Summer camp is supposed to be a fun wholesome time. I can’t imagine how badly this tragedy affected the families of the ones we lost and also the survivors. Just terrible.

It is 100% political.. and people saying to “stop making it about politics” are part of the problem. In 2016 engineers warned that Kerr County faced a high risk of a devastating flood. They recommended high-water sensors, river gauges, and automated alerts to protect lives. FEMA and NOAA offered funding pathways, but local Republican leadership rejected those recommendations. IT.
