During our travels we stopped and went for a hike to view Lake Michigan. BEAUTIFUL! I want to stop along our future trips and hike more often. My face is still sunburned from judging the horse competition the day before. Lunch was at my husband’s favorite chain restaurant, Portillo’s. On last stop was to visit my sister-in-law and family in Rantoul, Illinois. They took us out for dinner a ET’s and showcased the town. Rantoul has a multi million dollars sports complex for soccer, baseball, and softball. My husband and his sister have the same biological dad, but were both raised by exceptional stepfathers. We finished the night with seeing a dedication brick at the sports complex. Even though we only shared one meal and one night with family, it was wonderful to catch up and to be present. Everyone’s lives are too fast paced.
