I hate how ppl think Dean is a monster but he watched his girlfriend fall in love with someone else and have less and less time for him and waited hours for a girl that has lost interest in him yet Rory still tried to pursue him making him feel confused and angry. The man literally built her a car, he cant give up on her that easily. Especially because Jess keeps provoking him by saying that he wanted to steal Rory. Dean can’t do anything about it because Rory is always away from him. The basket thing? Jess stole Rory from Dean and even if it was just to deepen his friendship with Rory, we all know Jess’ true intentions. Even if Dean didn’t share the same interests as Rory he tried his very best to understand her, examples being reading books that she likes even though he doesn’t like reading. Dean was like a prop to Rory, and it showed at the dance when Rory kept talking to Jess. Rory also mentally and PHYSICALLY cheated on Dean and never told him about it. Dean was right to get angry and yall can argue with the wall.

dean was a good first boyfriend for rory he just didn’t know how to handle stuff properly when it came to jess. for example, when jess found out she was hanging out with dean in patty’s he handled that calmly while dean is an explosive character so he argues instead of calmly trying to understand what happened.

I am not gonna feel bad for a man that only wanted her because she was pretty 💀 jess fell in love with rory because he KNEW her , even Logan did. But this guy just was pushing her into being an obedient housewife, which hé later had Lindsey filling that role (glad hè ended up with no one)

im watching this for the first time so idk how this ends but idk why everyone likes jess. he makes her do bad things. she skipped school. she was in a wreck.
