Yes, Cierra said something wrong and I agree she faced the consequences she deserved. She could be mean in the villa sometimes, and not everyone liked her vibe. I also didn’t like her. But now, after being kicked off the show and publicly humiliated, she’s being bullied by thousands of people online. It’s like people forgot she’s still a human being. I’m not even saying this because she was my favorite she wasn’t. I’ve only ever really loved Amaya Papaya and Huda. But I’m speaking up because I’m an empath, and when I see that much hate being thrown at someone, it really gets to me. I feel it to the core. And more than that, I’m speaking because three people have already reached a breaking point and tried to end their lives because of what they experienced on Love Island. That should be a wake-up call. We need to do better. It’s okay to call out someone’s behavior, and it’s okay to not support what she said. But wishing bad things on someone, constantly spreading hate, or celebrating their downfall… that’s not justice. That’s just cruelty. We don’t make the world better by becoming just as harsh as the person we’re criticizing. If anything, the way we treat others in their worst moments says more about us than it does about them. We need to be more careful, spreading more awareness than ignorance. I think that will be her biggest lesson

As an Asian woman who has experienced years of bullying over the shape of my eyes, I can understand why the comment could be hurtful to some. However, in this case, I personally did not find it offensive. It seemed to come from a place of poor wording rather than any malicious intent or prejudice. I believe many people online are quick to judge and often look for reasons to discredit or remove someone they already have negative feelings toward.
