Sending this to my mom so she makes sure she doesn’t accidentally buy this stuff!! I’m checking my cats shampoo rn. I’ve had him for a year and gave him his first bath a few days ago and he seems okay but now I’m checking. If it doesn’t have the stuff, I’ll take a pic and recommend it bc we’ve used it on the dogs but obviously they’re both different. I’ll brb with my comment 💕 but im sooo sorry for ur bb omgg.

Only use DAWN DISHSOAP. get the kitten wet. use ur finger and create a soap collar around the neck so the fleas don't climb to the face. dawn is gentle on the cat and kills the fleas on contact.

Hartz killed all 3 cats when my MIL gave them flea meds. The VET told us that they have been trying to ban their products but couldn’t bc it wasn’t human deaths. This was 13 years ago!!! Imagine how many have died 🥺🥺😔😔💔💔

"I didn't check" because honestly.. WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO. It is absolutely insane that companies (HARTZ) can do something like this and are still in business. I am so sorry hon, it's disgustingly unfair that an innocent creature lost it's life thanks to a greedy company.

Don’t put the cat to sleep until they say there’s serious damage like brain injury, some cats recover after! Get all the bills and information see if the vet will sign off on what caused it and sue the company if you can

thank you for educating me. i’ve own my baby for 11 years, and i’ve known nothing about lawsuits with hartz. i feed my cat delectables, but will no longer be buying anything hartz related.

As a vet tech please please do not buy Hartz/Adams/generic store brands or similar priced items. Flea and tick shampoo is also generally more risky than your typical once a month dose because you can’t dose it properly.

BABY SHAMPOO PEOPLE i have been using oatmeal baby wash for my dog for 3 years now! it was recommended to use by my vet because it’s gentle and is soothing for dry skin. make sure you always check ingredients though

Even 15 years ago, our (military!) vet clinic had a laminated “DO NOT BUY HARTZ” taped to their counter. There needs to be more regulation for pet products. This is vile— I’m so sorry.
