I love hearing this. People keep putting on their rose tinted glasses and getting mad at people who dislike the new games. The new games aren’t bad. But the new games are not FNAF anymore, they aren’t even remotely comparable anymore.

I never had a computer back in like 2013-2018, so i could never play fnaf back then. all the time i would wait to watch mark play it as the games came out, i miss that feeling too mane

Steelwool shouldnt be able to make fnaf games. I'm not saying that Scott shouldnt have retired, he has a family and he wants to care about them first, but Steelwool doesn't know why fnaf have become probably the best horror franchise in gaming history

I don’t like to make this comparison because fnaf is the og mascot horror but it really feels since poppy playtime came out and got so much attention they tried to make games similar to it. It’s not actually scary anymore, very clearly aimed towards children now because it’s more profitable that way, hence why everything became more tame, cartoony and bright (the movies are a perfect example of this). Free roam isn’t the issue, they could totally make an actually scary free roam game with a bit of the old security camera stuff included in sections but they would rather cater to kids. It’s not that deep I guess and we still have the old games to go back and play but i’m kinda sad about what could’ve been🤷♀️
