lets think about this... they live in a small town, which they know has been safe for incredibly long. every person in this town can be trustable, and toriel thought they were at the holidays, who are a close friend of the dreemurrs.

deltarune fans learn nuance challenge 💔 yes this isn’t the worst thing in the world she could possibly do but this WAS irresponsible. kris was clearly upset, uncomfortable, and even frustrated seeing toriel like this (given their subtle glance down when they walk in and the thrashing and turning in bed in the next cutscene), since it’s implied it’s become a habit for toriel to drink excessively. from a player perspective, yes, on a surface level, this scene is very cute. i screamed out loud when i saw toriel and sans dancing together for the first time. but when we think about how kris and susie react when they walk in and when we give context to how tori escapes her problems via drinking, clearly something is deeply wrong. there’s so much happening if you give it a little thought. also, drinking to the point of falling over while you don’t know where your kid is in the middle of the night in a town where you know your friend’s family’s daughter had gone missing, that is a little bit irresponsible imo. also, we had just learned about a prophecy where something vaguely tragic happens at the end and just barely stopped the roaring from happening and this is a very jarring scene very shortly after, it’s meant to be uneasy from a narrative perspective. tldr we as the player might not see anything wrong with it but kris is very bothered and affected by tori’s implied history of alcoholism when we take into account what their past was like with the divorce and dess going missing and with being possessed theyre just going thru it man idk. tori isn’t the devil for this but she’s not completely pure and perfect either

"Random hobo" has a giant house, and a supermarket that actually seem to go pretty good. Also "random" they know each other from BEFORE Chapter 1 Sans litterally say it, like multiple time actually. "They are not worried" Toriel noticed Kris Is changing and has changed, and Is worried about that and that's probably the whole reason She get drunk, she doesn't know what to do. But let's talk about the 'important" thing i don't know how people don't realise Toriel was IN FRONT of us when we said we would do the project at Noelle house. Noelle Family and Kris family are REALLY close, the amount of time that slept at each other Is probably a lot. And you could say "but She could know they get out" how? From Carol? The one who Is obviusly with Kris, and most likely said to her that we were sleeping at her house? From asgore who she ignore? From Noelle? Who has no reason to call Toriel? Imagine her prespective we are at Noelle house for her information, probably the most secure house After our own in term of family. Carol could have called her to Say Kris Is at her home safe, to give more time to Kris and distract Susie and maybe in the meantime do something else. And she is still worried a lot but don't know what to do about Kris changing. And you guys get angry she got angry with a man She alredy know from we don't know how much time (Before chp1). Yeah no to me this Is not a problem, only from Susie and Kris point of view It Is and rightfully so but Toriel doesn't know we were risking out lives in a dark world.

nothing wrong with it imo. cellphones dont work in the dark world, she "couldve" called kris where theyre in the light world in the church before re-opening the foutain (but thats such a stretch). either way its not as bad as everyones making it 😭😭
