i spent 2years in this hell place Ebongweni ..you dont lose your mind all at once but it slips away piece by piece..firstly u dont know if its day or night lights are on 24/7 ..you dont see anyone ..after a month you talk to yourself and can hear yourself answer then argue with yourself, then go days without saying a word..Paranoia creeps in next.. you start thinking the guards are watching more than they should..You feel like the walls are moving closer. You remember things that never happened and sometimes you catch yourself smiling.. Thats when you realise this place isnt built to punish your body.. Its built to bury your mind alive.💔💔🤦🏽

It’s a centre of last resort, when all else has failed. People incarcerated here are the worst of the worse. It’s no ordinary prison for an ordinary criminal. Gang leaders, serial killers/rapists, multiple escapees from other prisons.
