if u watch the 2012 arima kinen, u can watch the real gold ship stay in dead last the entire race and then suddenly bolt up to 1st place right at the end. his jockey said the biggest rule about riding gold ship was "dont offend him" and he never prayed to win, he only prayed for gold ship to be normal that day

Every single one of the girls are based off of real horses the horse gold ship it's based off of has never won a race in their life even though they have the most speed and stamina out of most of the horse is on the track. Gold chip just chooses not to run at their full speed. They do what they want when they want

gold ship is the father of about 80% of the rest of the umas for a reason. irl he retired in perfect health which means his owners belive he never actually tried in a race. gold ship is just "the horse" of Japanese horse racing.
