My stepmom married and moved into our house my freshman year of high school. The way that I would get new things for sports or new clothes would be when I turned in my report card and I’d have to have straight A’s. Suddenly things would start to go missing and my dad would blame it on my friends. Therefore I wasn’t allowed to have any friends come over or vice versa because he assumed they were stealing my things. Senior year I had enough.. I went into my father and stepmom’s room and started to search. I found a suitcase tucked away in the back of a closet. I opened it and found all my clothes from over the past four years. It filled a large suitcase, ones that we would take to Mexico. I decided to put on some of the clothes and sit on the couch until she got home. She was SHOOK. Her face when blank. 18 at the time, this was an uncomfortable situation for me. Told my dad, he didn’t believe me. I graduated and he kicked me out 3 months earlier than when I needed to leave. I’m 28 yrs old now but the invasion of privacy and gaslighting still gets to me.

I have been watching ur vids abt this and i am so mad for you. Change your doorknob to a one w a key & lock so you lock whenever ur not in there (can find on amazon and it's rlly simple to change a doorknob). And b4 you start locking ur door, go through your brothers room again and make sure none of ur stuff is still in there. at this point u have every right to check his room cuz his gf is stealing and he still wants to bring her around! i would be ashamed if i was him

In my selfish and psycho teens I used to steal my sisters clothes. She started locking her room, but I always found a way- sometimes she’d forget or I’d find some in the dryer and keep them- I had no shame. I think a camera would’ve stopped me.
