If ibis paint has gradient maps, use gradient maps! That’s how artists color so quickly

gradient maps - then use hard light blend mode to put in the colors you want - adjust from there

I saw some artists using hue/color (its between these two) blending mode for greyscales drawings,, not sure if it works tho!

I haven't personally tried this but I'm guessing maybe try a saturation /color layer?

One thing I've been doing recently is plopping down mid tones I like and doing my best at color picking and rendering by eye. Then afterwards putting a graysalce filter/color layer above my color layer and finishing coloring blind in grayscale and color picking the colors I already placed and adjusting hue and saturation of colors I picked poorly to look good in grayscale. It can be tedious, but it's fun and gives you a chance to both get better at color picking and used to checking your art in grayscale for tonal/contrast corrections! Best of luck

if your colors look dull, i recommend putting the colors in color then use multiply for shade and use add for coloring! make sure the light is not too overwhelming or harsh but it depends on your choice! also add a tiny light in the face shadows to add contrast. i recommend rendering some stuff to adjust it better!

here's a tip!. your grays are too close together. try to add a little more contrast. more dark parts would really help

there should be a "clear white" option in the layers section, press that and then color a layer under
