Tried it at the Asian food festival a little while ago, I just got the taro milk tea with tapioca pearls. Couldn’t really taste the taro, just tasted like ridiculously sweet milk tea. And the tapioca pearls had a really flimsy texture, it was closer to jelly. Not chewy at all, very similar to the texture of the pearls in canned boba from Sobeys. Might have to go back and try their cheesecake drinks. I’ll stick to presotea or cha time for boba though.
