can you get in trouble example : 3 full-day sick day will be occurrences, within 60-days we consider progressive discipline depending on context. I was under the impression in Ca we have 40 sick hours, for doc visit, not feeling well or taking a kid parent to the doctor

I got a drs note for 5 days. On Day 2 HR filed a leave of absence on my behalf and within that process I was taken off schedule and my position was made available and hired a former employee. I then provided a medical clearance to return. Once I did I was placed to work hours my mgr knew were conflicting. Also I was suspended about 2abd a half weeks later for not submitting documentation of an authorization medical release form by its due date and pending investigation . A week later after my initiation of information to be given I was fired for calling off the dates i had a drs note for which violated policy of calling off 3xs within a 90 day period which is considered excessive.
