Girl, I was scammed out of $1200 because I was not as smart as your husband, and as soon as the guy on the other end said "you're facing jailtime" in an accent that sounded like mine, I forgot all the scam prevention I'd ever been taught 🤦♀️

I hate scammers but I enjoy messing with them… Had what sounded like an old man call me in 2004 when I was in college, claiming to be my grandfather, even used his name and called me by mine. He told me he got mugged while vacationing in Canada and needed me to wire funds to help him expedite the replacement IDs at the American embassy. I asked him two questions: 1) when did he learn to talk, since Grandpa was born Deaf and used ASL to communicate? And 2) how did he come back from being dead for 12 years?
