The key b4 a braid appt is a light weight leave in conditioner w heat protection. The dryness is what breaks our hair off in the braids

As a hairstylist - oils on scalp is fine - but the hair being saturated in product is not. Gel shouldn’t be touching the scalp there for it shouldn’t be a problem coming with product on it

The scalp is fine braiders be talking about the product in your hair. And most ppl hair be dry asf before the braids cause they don’t be deep conditioning and hydrating their hair regularly. Plus you can always bring your grease and put it in after !!!
