Okay I’m gonna put this into adult terms so it makes you understand why we hate this rule. Let’s say you’ve worked 5 days, 8 hours each day, then you finally get vacation. Amazing, right? But then your boss says you have to write a small assignment every day until your vacation is over, and if you don’t, he’ll give you a small punishment, like having you move your desk to the corner by the trash. Not ideal. That’s how we feel when we finally get break, then are forced to read every day

I think reading in the summer is really bad considering the fact that they’ve been in school for nine months and only get three or two months off of school and you’re making your kids read. I’m not calling you a bad mother. I’m just saying it doesn’t make a lot of sense.
