as a bookseller i’ve noticed that people will also get pdfs of actual books and publish them as if they were their own. that’s in part why books are less expensive on amazon. you can see this especially with newly published books that are available as a paperback on amazon. newly published books are usually in hardcover only for the first year. it’s hard to trust any book from there!

The massively sized fonts are for two reasons - one to boost the page count so it looks like a longer book but two in the hopes that Amazon will pay more in Kindle Unlimited, but it won’t, they have been wise to that forever
