I love this because I’ve written my OB in particular two thank you cards after the birth of each of my boys and I like the idea they can still encourage her even on other days. 💙

That is so thoughtful. I definitely have those cards that I come back to also on hard days. Because, especially on those days, I find myself remembering all of the mistakes I’ve made but never all the things I did well. That’s a really nice gift.

Every year around my son's birthday, I send my OB a thank you and a photo update. Bc she helped us get pregnant and helped this 2lb4oz micro preemie birthe a 9lb2.4oz Goliath. Her first words at birth were "congratulations on your 3yr old!" He's 10 & 5'4.5". She gets a kick out of that. I work at the hospital now too, so we're "coworkers" now.

Question - I had my first baby in October and my CNM was absolutely incredible. I thanked her and told her how much she meant to me as a loss and infertility mom but didn’t get around to writing the card I was going to (the whole newborn thing). Is it weird to drop a card off at her office now?

That is the best. I just have them floating around my house. That and memorial cards from funerals I went to. I can’t bring myself to throw them away. Because one of the greatest honors is Remembering their faces

I'm not a Dr, but as a teacher I keep a folder of kind notes from kids and parents that I read when I feel overwhelmed and ready to throw in the towel. It's 25 years worth of notes. I think they will love this.💕
