I have had epilepsy since I was 11 months old and my daughter (6) has a mutation of my epilepsy that started at 9 months . my heart breaks for you. My daughter was over a year old when had her first seizure. A febrile seizure is what it was. Then she had petite mal ones. We live in Boston and had an unbelievable Neurologist at Children’s Hospital. She was on medicin Keppra was one of them, until 1st grade! She is now 24 and been seizure free since 1st grade. I hope you all get the answers you deserve! Your her voice! Keep doing what you’re doing. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

As a mother who went through this and still fighting stick your ground!! There is also a genetic test that is free to the age of 8. We found out she’s missing a gene which is part of the cause. Here seizure started when she was just 11 months old here she is turning seven in October at the age of three she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She has what’s called absent seizures. She has them when she’s sick at times but a time she also has them due to anxiety or stress she never wants to leave us as it’s a blessing, but also not a blessing as she has a very hard time going to school. But I promise be her rock. I’ve been my baby rock. We are their voices. No one knows your child like you do and that’s a fact.
