It’s unclear if anyone was taken into custody during the operation, which sparked outrage among local residents and which Mayor Karen Bass called “outrageous” and “an attempt to spread fear.” An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson told CNN the agency does not comment on ongoing operations.
