@jpgcoaching: The study compared Bayesian curls and preacher curls at 50° of shoulder flexion and found the differences in strength and hypertrophy to be non significant. Yet people are still claiming that preacher curls are “vaulted” for biceps just because Bayesian curls showed slightly better biceps growth, while preacher curls showed slightly better brachialis growth. But if we go back to the first sentence, the difference wasn’t significant. Preacher curls are great for the biceps. Don’t let someone with 14 inch arms who probably didn’t even read the study tell you otherwise. People who say the exercise is ‘vaulted’ have also forgot to take into account edema during the Bayesian curl due to the bicep being loaded in a stretched position, therefore creating the illusion of more muscle growth when really it’s just swelling.

Come on Unc. When science based lifters say vaulted its not because the exercise is bad. Its because we know a better one so we don’t do preachers anymore. Difference is different regardless of significant or not so what you want to do
