@pawsmdfb1vj: Daily Must-Dos 🧼 🧹 Scoop the Litter Box Scoop 1-2x/day ! Cats are clean creatures—dirty litter = mess on the floor. Don’t skip this! 😿 🍽️ Clean Bowls Wash food/water bowls daily before refilling! Bacteria in old bowls = diarrhea or “black chin” (skin issue). 🍼 Replace Food & Water Don’t leave kibble/water out all day ! Stale food = pests & bacteria. Freshen up! 🧽 Wipe Bottom Long-haired cats/soft-stool cats : Wipe immediately after using the litter box! Otherwise, they’ll track poop everywhere! Weekly Must-Dos 🐾 🦷 Brush Teeth Brush once/week with pet-safe toothpaste ! Start early—kittens learn to love it! 🦷 👂 Clean Ears Apply ear drops + gently massage. Let your cat shake its head! Neglect = ear odor & discomfort. 👁️ Wipe Eyes Use a damp cloth/saline solution to remove discharge! Tear stains = ugly + inflammation. Stay proactive! 🧽 Wipe Chin Weekly check for oil/dark spots! Greasy diets = dirty chin. Wipe it clean! Every 15 Days 🕰️ 🗑️ Replace Litter Every 2 weeks ! Old litter = bad smell + dust. Cats may refuse to use it. ✂️ Trim Nails Trim every 15 days ! Avoid the pink “quick” . Wrap in a towel if needed! 🐾 🐾 Trim Paw Fur Neaten fur around paw pads! Long fur = slipping + bacteria. Trim for stable walking! 🩹 Paw Pad Care After trimming, check for wounds! Small issues = big problems if ignored. Monthly Must-Dos 📆 🛡️ External Deworming Apply parasite drops to the neck! Indoor cats : every 2-3 months. Kills pests + reduces discomfort! 🛏️ Clean Cat Bed Wash monthly ! Fewer bacteria = better sleep for your cat + less hair for you! 🧹 Deep Clean Home Focus on under beds/sofas ! Cats hide there = dust + hair. Clean for everyone’s comfort! Quarterly Tasks 📅 💊 Internal Deworming Give deworming meds every 3 months! Mix with wet food. Indoor cats: 5-6 months is enough! 🧼 Disinfect Surfaces Spray pet-safe disinfectant (e.g., 75% alcohol)! Keep cats out during cleaning! 🧳 Clean Cat Carrier Wipe after outings! Remove hair/dust = fresh for next use! 🌳 Clean Cat Tree Brush off fur + disinfect! Cats spend hours here—keep it clean for skin health! Every 6 Months 🔄 🛁 Bath Time Indoor-only cats : 1x/6 months. Outdoor cats : 1x/2-3 months. Always use pet shampoo ! 🧺 Wash Carpets/Curtains Remove & wash where cats hang out! Eliminate hair/dust = cleaner home! 🧸 Replace Toys Discard broken toys! New toys = happier cats + fewer bacteria! 🐱 Switch Cat Food Rotate brands every 6 months ! Variety = balanced nutrition + no picky eating! #kittens #cats #pet #handmade #woolfelt

Indoor cats shouldn’t be bathed… no one can tell me otherwise and there’s no way I’d put my cat in such stress..

Hold up. Some of these are a big no no. They don’t need external parasite prevention every month. They are quite bad if given too often. Only give if they have fleas or if a good veterinary recommends so. Otherwise maybe once a year. As for internal parasite prevention, once every 6 months or even a year should be fine. Especially for indoor cats. Outdoor cats might need these more often. Do consult with a good veterinary doctor.

Im still definitely bathing my cat once a month. He has dust, cat litter and other germs on him constantly. He sheds sooooo much and makes me sneeze like crazy. Not to mention he likes to sleep with us. Not bathing your cats smh is gross. Especially the cat litter dust on their fur part. Nah

Replacing litter only after 15 days is mad. It should be weekly or twice a week depending on how big is the box

it’s not good to change up their food, all you have to do is change up treats, try new toppers. don’t change their food ESPECIALLY if they are doing well on it!

YOU SHOULD NOT BATHE CATS UNLESS THEY GOT PHYSICALLY DIRTY FROM MUD, DIRT OR GETTING INTO SOMETHING MESSY!!!! ****unless your cat for whatever reason like age or limited mobility cannot groom themselves

You’re so worried about deworming and desinfecting. I’d rather get a full fecal panel bc alcohol and dewormer does nothing to parasites such as giardia, coccidia, crypto etc.

If a cat is not used to taking a bath, don't force it. When it licks itself, it takes a bath.😌😌😌

Nain thing i always tell friends getting cats, is just do things ud do for urself. (mainly hygiene wise) They clean themselves (wait till needed). And dont stress them out, cats can easily develop issues whether mentally or sometimes physically due to stress. And LOVE THEM, very social creatures ❤️
