imagine if papyrus is dying, and when people die they go into the dark world permanently (her son for example) and what if that’s where dess is too? forever only alive in the dark world. if papyrus is dying, it explains the hospital you need to go through to get an egg (in chapter 4 iirc?). maybe that’s why sans won’t let us see papyrus, he doesn’t want to let anyone see his dying brother. maybe that’s why the trouble of bones softly gets more and more silent each day. papyrus is moving less and less each day.

Papyrus is probably a child in deltarune tho, also Kris saw the forgotten man in the lightworld, which they couldn't if Papyrus still was in Sans' house at the moment. There's no reason for the narrator/gaster to call papyrus an "issue" as well. I think the forgotten man is grandpa semi. Look it up on youtube

tbh im a little worried, like WHERE IS HE?? hes too important to only be mentioned esp after 4 chapters. Toby has something planned and the fact papyrus hasnt been mentioned by name ONCE yet is weird, The language toby used for the dialogue surrounding "sans brother" was very specific
