I get what you’re saying, but this advice could be misinterpreted and used against disabled people with communication differences. “Clear” is subjective, and as HR I have seen this weaponized. “I can’t work with this person. I don’t like how they talk. It’s not clear TO ME.” When really it’s an unwillingness to manage anyone that isn’t a yes-man.

Unfortunately, decoding lack of clarity from your manager is packaged as “ability to manage ambiguity”. All of this to avoid taking accountability for negative outcomes. Can’t emphasise enough how much this phrase is overused and abused in corporate Europe.
