From Buggy's point of view, Shanks, on the day of their captain's execution his best friend, rival, brother suddenly turns his back on their goal of climbing the ranks of the Pirate world to go after the one piece themselves. They split, Buggy gathers a crew and years later Shanks seems to change his mind and challenge for the one piece, ending up a Yonko. Now from Buggy's point of view Shanks is trying to accomplish the goal they had originally set their eyes on together without him. The whole time, Shanks would love nothing more than to be in Buggy's position as a small fry in the East Blue...
