I think it’s worse because the standard straight white man isn’t going to meet someone who hates the idea of dating a straight white man as often as a queer or bi person would meet someone and find out that person is homophobic, transphobic, or uncomfortable dating anyone who is queer. It fucks with your identity even more no one’s uncomfortable with dating a straight man. The rejection, when it comes to queer people, is often: “I only date real men,” or “I don’t feel comfortable dating someone who likes men.” It’s an attack on your very identity. That’s why the rejection is worse.
