my review of the iphone 17 one week in > pros: great camera quality on the front and back camera, so good that it’s almost bad (i can see every pimple on my face😅), the speakers are great compared to my iphone 11 so i can actually enjoy playing music off my phone now. the new camera button is such a nice touch, i don’t have to scramble to open up my camera app anymore. it charges SO MUCH FASTER than my iphone 11 and hold a charge for much longer. i’ve gone 28 hours in between charges and still had 9% left on my phone battery (and i use my phone quite frequently). since the base model iphone 17 comes with 256gb of storage, the storage upgrade has been a very noticeable difference. i don’t have to keep deleting apps to save space anymore. also, the colour is much more vibrant than i expected, much better than my previous purple iphone 11. transferring my data from my old phone to my new phone took like 5 minutes which was remarkably quick. also IOS26 runs SO smoothly on my phone, and i will not tolerate any liquid glass hate— it’s cute if you know how to customize it to your liking. cons: a lot of videos that come up on my FYP or other apps look much grainier now because the iphone 17 screen has a much higher resolution than before, so if someone else records a low quality video, it looks much worse on my phone. same thing with some older photos that were taken with older iphone cameras, they’re noticeably grainier but that’s to be expected as technology improves. i lowkey miss the silent/ring switch, but the action button is alright it just takes some getting used to. there’s no physical sim card slot, so for anyone who has a physical sim it might be difficult to transfer. i did not have a cell plan before this phone so setting up and eSIM was perfectly fine with me, but just be aware. overall: if you’re upgrading from anything older than an iphone 13, id say go for it!! it was a worthwhile upgrade for me coming from my iphone 11, so many new features and a nice colour selection to choose from. If you’re upgrading from an iphone 14 or newer, i would say that you would definitely enjoy the newer phone but probably don’t NEED it. overall i do not regret buying the iphone 17 and this will be my phone for a minimum of 5 years so this was more of an investment for me. no regrets here🩷#iphone #iphone17 #iphone17purple #apple
