Barnes v. Felix (May 15, 2025):
This case rejected a "moment-of-threat" rule that limited the consideration of circumstances when assessing the reasonableness of police force. The Court ruled that the Fourth Amendment requires courts to consider all relevant facts and events, not just the moment of force.
