More than you know have confronted this very question. I came to the conclusion that ignorance will breed ignorance. I think sometimes we have to look in the mirror and say I forgive the one looking back at me because they did not know then I think you have to look at the one that initially did the dreadful thing and say I forgive you perhaps you didn’t know. But this is where I draw the line in the sand and say no more. This is where change really begins. You will find your way and that will only be through forgiveness. Forgiveness doesn’t mean that what they did to you was right because it wasn’t but it does say you’re ready to move forward. 💕🙏

Thanks to a wonderful therapist, I realized I didn't have to forgive to heal the trauma. So I guess I would say, you didn't break me.
