I truly think that a lot of boomers were under diagnosed with OCD, ADHD, and autism. Now that many are starting to retire, their lack of structure is giving them the worst anxiety.

As a millennial that grew up with my grandparents (the silent generation), it is 100% the Boomers being the problem. My grandparents were less stressful about learning technology while my boomer parents are acting like they’ve never seen it before 🙈

When I’m home at Christmas I book their air bnb for the following summer, renew the car tax and the property tax, fix both phones and sort out dad’s banking app which never works for him. My brother lives a couple of hours away but they save up that stuff for me.

My mum has been a social worker for 40 years, child protection, serious cases, court all of it! When we go on holiday she is unable to order food or pay, she just looks at me.

Got my parents a Fitbit as thought be good for them to stay active. Get one identical to mine. My mum has managed to completely turn off the display within 2 days and can’t get it back on. I didn’t even know you could do this - yet she insists “I didn’t press anything”.

I feel seen. My mom’s bday is today. Yesterday we were talking on the phone and she goes “uuuughgggh I just realized it’s my bday tmr another one of those 🙄🙄 “ (she doesn’t have bdays cause that adds years, she celebrates the day of her birth but hates the mention of her age) so then I told her.. ok if you don’t want anything I’ll call everyone and tell them to ignore it.. but you know that means no brunch, no dinner, no messages, no gifts. Silence.. “well no.. it’s fine” today she had her friends show up with music and a candle on a croissant and lawn decor and she’s currently STILL at brunch and then being picked up to go to dinner.. like the dramatic queen she is 😂
