My theory and opinion: Season 3 is useless . It is just fan service created to make money. The story already ended in Season 2, just like it did in the manga. Now they are planning to invent an entirely new season, seriously? And no, it is not based on a spin-off since that only has two chapters. Why does Netflix always end up ruining everything? The Joker is not a person. He is a symbolic figure, a representation of the space between worlds. He offers a second chance through the act of playing. He embodies hope, life, and death all at once. He is not meant to be a physical character, but rather an idea, the bridge between life and death. If you read the book, you would understand this. The series is not really accurate when it comes to the Joker, especially now that Netflix is creating a third season entirely from scratch. The original story ended with Season 2. And no, it will not be based on the spin-offs, since one only contains a single game and the other features different characters entirely. It is disappointing to see Netflix undermine the original ending. Using the real 1 games (one with the arrows, the door one don’t exist because it was easier to make with the budget at the beginning of the series). The real ending in people minds will be left off and replaced by the Netflix one such I think is sad. The real ending was perfect and answered all questions. I’m not mad about s3 in itself, but what it will do to the original story and what story will remain in people’s minds, not the original one. I also want s3 because who doesnt want new content on the thing they love, but as a fan im scared the the original ending with the joker as the game of life ect be totally excluded and replaced by the Netflix one. But I totally understand people wanting s3 alternate endings can be a good things, but I don’t want it to overwrite the original one. If you read everything, pls go read the book before s3 it’s amazing and I’m sure you will love it !!!
