In the state of Minnesota they require you to go work for a company that does caregiving and get a license so you can take care of your own person before Medicare or Medicaid will pay for it

Not if you have power of attorney. You also have to start the process months in advance because it takes a long time to get approved. At least its that way in PA. My mom is toward the end with hospice.

it's different in each state, I've been employed to take care of my mother they have to have a specific type of assistance in texas for this to be possible!

Yeah until P.P.L.gets involved like they did here in new york.. now they handle all the payroll for any home.Health aid services in the state. you try calling. Them nobody answers the phone.They don't return emails or anything. they took the power away from the companies that were doing this and gave it to the state.And now half of us are not barely ever getting paid..

The qualification for this is state dependent and income has to be super low. I’d rather help someone set up a policy with living benefits so they can plan for this specifically instead of looking for funds since they didn’t plan.

This is based off what state you love in, they make it extremely hard to qualify, Outside income cannot exceed 4k! Also, ur parents cannot have a net worth over 60k!
