After the young boy finished his first day of school. He was happy. Ecstatic almost. But that would be gone the moment he came home. He entered. Smoking and running to his room. He stopped for a moment. Not a chirp has been heard as the boy entered. Odd. But he thought Roger was sleeping. So he entered his room. And when he did he saw Roger. Laying there. The boy giggling thinking he slept on the floor went to go pick him up to put him in his bed. But. He was cold. Too cold. The fur didn’t provide any warmth he once felt as he held Roger. His mind went to blank. Wondering what happened. Till he saw no color in Roger’s eyes. The final nail in the coffin. Seeing Roger as passed. He would fall to his knees. Unable to bare the pain and new of his best friend passing. And he was the know to find out. Not a moment ago he was smiling and happy. The next he was sobbing in pain. Trying to understand why. And who did this to him. Begging for an answer. He would never get. The last thing Roger left. Was the dollar bill. To return the favor. As the boy bought Roger. For a dollar. And Roger gave it back. When he passed. The boy will never be the same. Knowing his best friend. Is gone. And he had to hold him. Knowing Roger will never wake up.

You 🥷 might think ts funny but I remember the first time my pet died and I 100% understand bros pain. Seeing your own pet limp and holding them in your hands is one of the worst things anyone can experience, their lifeless fragile body just there and all you can do is cry and hope that it’s a dream. I miss my dog
