I spent decades telling people I wanted to go there and hearing that it was boring and there was nothing to do. A couple years ago I went there and it was better than I had even imagined. Also the views are stunning

Honestly I hear terrible things about the pyramids of Giza because it’s become such a tourist attraction, I think indigenous pyramids in the Americas would be so much more interesting at this point!

Many similar sites are all over Mexico and down to South America. I feel like the US has dedidated itself to completely erase these types of settlements in favor of flat cities and to erase native history.
