Rove wae never became law. it was a court ruling. That's why it was overturned. A law can't be overturned it gets Amended. Hence that is our constitution a list of amendments.

While all you said is sociologically true, I have a devil's-advocate question: The Bible states that God knew us before we were formed, so couldn't those very same far-right evangelicals just have rallied around that scriptural evidence instead? Certainly, their impetus to maintain segregation from black people makes sense since their forming religious schools was an obvious last-ditch effort to keep white and black separate. Racism doesn't bow out gracefully just because a landmark decision is passed, and religious conservatives were vocal about their anti-abortion position long before Roe vs. Wade and Brown vs. Topeka decisions were made law. Please let me know what you think.

I dont quite agree with this. My parents were foster parents for 'unwed' mothers in the early 70s. the girls were kicked out of their homes, but abortion was a HUGE no-no, so people like my parents would take these girls in until they had their babies and gave them up for adoption.
