Even most of the able-bodied people on medicaid wouldn't be able to replace migrant farm workers. Farm work is SKILLED LABOR! Most of the rest of us don't have those skills and won't be able to develop them quickly enough to meet the demand.

I have a farm (olives and coffee). Our workers are irreplaceable. They are experts on tree care, maintenance, pruning, diseases, when and how to pick. What kind of expertise does our Agriculture Sec have? This is madness.

My 84 yr old mom is really looking forward to manual labor. She’s not strong enough to take her own trash out but as long as it’s something light and the rows are wide enough for her walker we should be good for about 10 min
