i find weird how many people have so weird relationship with their parents 😅 i do contribute to the household (groceries, parents medical bills and fixes around the house) but is mostly cuz i want to be responsible with my parents and they never treated me badly. i can bring dates but of course that part would be better having a house for myself, maybe is a cultural thing i am from latam

I lived with my mom for 7 years as an adult but we functioned more as roommates thankfully. Just never made enough money to afford a place to myself and didn’t want a bunch of stranger roommates 😅 Kitty still good

I think I'm the only adult still living with her parents who is chill with the situation. the three off us living together is what keeps all of us from living paycheck to pay check and i have a work schedule that allows me to cook and i love cooking and they love that i love cooking! They eat what i make without complaint (my mom didnt tell me she didnt like shrimp Alfredo until years into me cooking it once a month😭) I'm also kinda the glue holding my parents marriage together but let's not get into that!

this is the only thing I think young millennials had worse bcos rent was starting to be unaffordable back in the late 2010s but it wasn't as well known how bad it was so it was actually shameful to be living with parents despite barely being able to live moving out

I’ve been living alone for 7 years now and I gotta say the stigma behind living with your parents is bullspit. Having 3+ people supporting each other under one roof is a blessing. Living alone is nice mentally but not on the wallet lol
