Incidents like this are unfortunate but can happen even in well maintained buildings. The important thing is that no one was injured and it was addressed quickly.💙

Intercontinental is nowhere near a 5 star. Stayed there in summer 2023. Had four pairs of new Boss and Ralph Lauren swim-shorts ‘disappear’ into thin air from our room. Dirty air-con that left foul smell in our room. The neighbouring hotel guests were able to use the rooftop pool, which as a result was overcrowded. The only good point for us was the breakfasts, which were buffet style, but very nice.
